BrandJet supports outreach on WhatsApp, Telegram and Instagram alongside email and LinkedIn. Each channel has its own connection flow and its own rate-limit rules — here is what you need to know.
BrandJet uses the WhatsApp Business protocol via a dedicated session. You connect by scanning a QR code from your phone.
Open Accounts → Social → Connect WhatsApp.
In WhatsApp on your phone, go to Settings → Linked Devices → Link a Device.
Scan the QR code shown in BrandJet.
The session activates. We assign a residential proxy in your country so all activity comes from a consistent location.
Recommended: use a dedicated WhatsApp Business number, not your personal number. WhatsApp aggressively rate-limits new senders, so warm the account slowly (10 to 20 messages per day for the first week).
WhatsApp account showing as missing
This happens when the campaign references a WhatsApp account that:
Was temporarily banned by WhatsApp and never reconnected.
Was deleted from Accounts → Social while a campaign was running.
Got logged out because the linked device was removed from your phone.
Reconnect the same number via the QR flow and update the campaign WhatsApp account from Settings → Sending accounts.
Telegram
Telegram requires a phone number you can receive an SMS code on.
Open Accounts → Social → Connect Telegram.
Enter the phone number associated with the Telegram account.
Enter the verification code Telegram sends to that number.
If you have two-step verification enabled on Telegram, enter your password.
Telegram connections are usually stable for months. Reauth only triggers if Telegram detects unusual sign-in activity.
Telegram limits
New Telegram accounts can only message contacts (people who have your number) until they build trust.
Cold messaging to non-contacts on a brand-new account often results in a temporary ban after 20 to 30 messages. Warm slowly.
Instagram connects via username and password plus a verification step.
Open Accounts → Social → Connect Instagram.
Enter your Instagram username and password.
Pick the country for the session proxy.
If Instagram challenges the login, complete the email or SMS verification on instagram.com from the same network you usually use, then retry the BrandJet connect.
Instagram disconnect mid-campaign
Instagram is the most aggressive of the three about disconnecting sessions after policy changes. If you see account disconnected in the activity log:
Open Instagram on your phone and approve any pending login alerts.
Reduce the campaign daily Instagram volume by 50% for a week.
Reconnect in BrandJet using the same country you typically use.
Multichannel best practices
Do not use the same phone number for both WhatsApp and Telegram — keep accounts isolated.
Always run warmup on email channels before launching a campaign that also uses social.
Stagger send times across channels — if you DM and email the same lead within five minutes it looks automated.
